When one of your own gets married... it's hard as a vendor to respect a budget when you want to give them the best of the best! One of our own, Ellen recently said "I Do" this past August with a simple bright blue tropical style soiree. Having worked with us, Ellen of course had great flower tastes. We gave the ladies lush bouquets of roses, lisianthus, scabiosa and other seasonal flowers in purples and blues to match their classic blue multi- style dresses. The bride's mother passed away when she was young, so seeing her almost as a daughter of my own, it was an absolute blessing being able to not only design her big day but to also see her walk down the aisle. Keeping memorabilia close, her mother was represented in every way possible. Of course we always love the personal details! Ellen's blue shoes that she bejeweled herself were quite the fashion statement. She also sewed her own blue beading onto her dress! The cake topper, previously her parents, had been passed down through her brothers' weddings onto hers. Creative wine bottles were displayed marked with numbers for guests to write memoirs and special advice to the bride and groom that they would open each anniversary. And finally, the hand-sewn table names all represented beaches and places the bride and groom had visited together. Congratulations Eric & Ellen :)Photography: ISOKelly Photography
