Crisp autumn air, smells of hot apple cider, festive pumpkins and bustled up hay stacks. The changing leaves turning their deep reds and coppers with hints of warm yellows and golden browns. Pantone has put a new twist on these traditional fall feelings, spicing them up with the new seasonal colors chosen for 2014 and putting a modern spin on a few classic tones - there’s a shade for just about everyone! The color of the year; Radiant Orchid, already a popular shade, is a radiantly romantic eye catcher. According to Pantone, it’s “an enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones” and it “inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health”. It’s the perfect positive pop of rich elegance to add to any “I-do”. Royal Blue is a classic color comeback that serves as a striking color for fall and can add that bold regal touch to your big day. Besides, who doesn’t love a “royal” wedding! The soft twinkle of fireflies mixed with some iridescent sparkling crystal wear, Aluminum imitates those unique feel good fall emotions, paired nicely with peaches and yellows or some dusty miller in your bouquet for a beautiful crisp and clean, yet sophisticated look, perfect for the close-to-wintry months. Aurora Red is far from a sleeping beauty. This bold, vibrant, and rich red tone will bring to life any late-summer look in a dramatic yet ever so enchanting way. A modern twist on a traditional fall shade, Cognac captures the earthy warmth of late autumn, a perfect color to throw in with your cigar bar and twine wrapped mason jars for a timeless rustic feel. Evoking the feel of a chilly autumn night with a classy bottle of red wine in delicate frosted wine glasses, Sangria gives any fall wedding a sophisticated sass. It’s an exquisite tone that will look just as good on the groom as it will on your bridesmaids. Bright Cobalt makes its way back, this time for the fall. Soften it with accents of misted yellow or warm things up in a vivid way with its complementary cousin, orange. Say farewell to summer and hello to fall with a new approach to this blue shade. Misted Yellow, a great accent to any of these lovely fall shades, is proving itself to be not just a spring and summer color. Mimicking yellow autumn leaves, this sun-kissed tone can warm up any chilly day. For your softer side, Mauve Mist has hit the list with its dreamy pastel elegance. A slightly more modern twist on lavender, it can bring that fairytale feeling to your big day “in the most delightful way”. Last but not least and certainly not to be underrated, is Cypress. Not only is this gorgeous green flattering, but it will give your wedding a botanical beauty and intimate vintage appeal. When paired with soft whites, this lush green can provide the perfect polished look. All images are the work of Nature of Design

Spring has sprung! Which means beautiful spring bouquets are in abundance. But do you ever wonder what some of your spring flowers symbolize? What makes them so special in speaking the language of flowers? Such beautiful meanings for the loveliest of flowers!
Let your bouquet speak for you on your big day! Had a great time mingling with brides and vendors at the FS Weds: A Wedding Showcase 2014.
Here's a little taste of the beautiful tablescape we created. Special thank you to Jennifer McMenamin Photography. |
