The Memorial Rose...

The memorial rose's reputation is ever so appropriate for this holiday weekend. Known as the ideal plant for cemeteries, this native to Japan is known to spread grave grounds like a blanket with it's disease-resistant foliage. They were carved onto tombstones and memorial statues and stitched, drawn or painted onto framed elegies. Such a beautiful long-lasting rose relative to commemorating our  heroes.
