Anxiously awaiting Bridal Week in NYC this weekend, we've been getting our fashion fix from the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Australia! Oogle-ing and Ahh-ing over these ridiculously creative pieces by incredible talent. Here were some of the shows that caught our attention...
A chic twist on the Great Gatsby- this vintage glam show even included some bridal inspired pieces! Favorite Looks: Grey beaded fringe dress with mod bowler hat, and metallic gown. Not to mention the fantastic red lips!
St. George New Generation show
With a vast array of different designers, this show featured an eclectic mix of not just funky and unique but even day to day wearable pieces.
Gorgeous black silhouette pieces to graphic printed urban inspired dresses - and even some funky head art that as an art major- I of course couldn't get enough of.
Creative kudos all around - LOVE IT
Favorite Looks: Black silver embroidered mini dress,
and black cut-out pantsuit with the perfect set of black strappy heels
Talk about crazy- this show caught our eye at first with the floral backdrop- but the clothes were absolutely the eye catcher of this show. With a gorgeous selection of fabrics, and the coolest & most creative hair-face-art combo we've never seen before,
we got the ultimate girly satin floral bedtime vibes.
Not sure we'd ever step foot out the house in these crazy creations, but they're fun to look at.
Sleek, sexy, simple and chic. With a stunning hanging display runway of LED neon, this show was one to watch. Clean cut silhouettes, and amazing fabric prints in a mix of simple and bright colors. Favorite Look: Dusty blue fringe dress with a metallic woven accent underlay
Galanni takes royal to a WHOLE new level. I'd die to have one of these drool-worthy gowns in my own closet! Some of the most intricate detail, as well as unique eye-catching fabrics. We couldn't pick a favorite- we loved them ALL.
Another set of gown pieces we'd love to strut ourselves, Steven Khalil also had some bridal inspo, including a surprisingly simple yet elegant statement bridal gown.
Favorite Look: Sheer floral sheath gown
Bold. Clean. Mod. & Floral. All working together beautifully. Renown Maticevski set the scene with a stunning bold white geometric backdrop that featured each one of his pieces beautifully. Much lighter and softer palettes with accents of strong gold. As seen in his "Orchids Metamorphosis" last year, he incorporated orchids again with small crystal balls carried by the models.
Swarovski Winter Gardens Lunch
Now although this wasn't a runway, you bet it caught our eye and we are too in love not to share. Swarovski, celebrating their 120th year, set a jewel toned winter glam luncheon table featured on MBFWA. Loaded with statement pieces and beautiful blooms....we'll let it speak for itself....
